Keynote
Donna Wright (national speaker, consultant, and author)
excels at helping health care organizations create valuable
competency and staff development. Her book, The Ultimate
Guide to Competency AssessmentAn Innovative
Approach is now in its third edition. As a consultant with
Creative Health Care Management, Donna uses her expertise
in creative educational strategies, self-directed learning,
competency assessment, creative approaches to mandatory
training, creating a healthy work environment, and implementing
shared governances to help other organizations to
reach excellence.
Donna earned her masters’ degree from the University of
Minnesota. She has served as President of the National
Nursing Staff Development Organization (NNSDO) and is
a recipient of that organizations’ Promoting Excellence
award.
Donna has everything you need to know about competency
assessment and creative ideas to soar education to new
heights as well as provide a global view of current trends in
competency and education for your organization.
Patti Gillette, Clinical Psychologist
Motivational speaker, Patti Gillette, graduated from UW-Madison
with an undergraduate degree in Sociology and
Social Work. After graduation, she moved to Washington
state where she worked in variety of mental health-type
settings ranging from Goodwill Industries, an older adult
daycare, and a nursing home. Desiring to pursue further
training in the area of psychology, Patti enrolled in graduate
school and achieved a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
In 2002, she opened a private mental health practice.
Pattis expertise lies in the areas of treating depression and
anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, stress management,
and self-esteem. As a cognitive behavior therapist, she uses
common sense and skill building to effectively treat her
clients. Pattis desire to help others as well as her love for
music, art and all types of physical activity aids her in sharing
her enthusiasm of life with everyone she encounters.
